Water Dancesby NeilComment by Chandi: What a lovely autumn setting! The underexposed woods leading to a bright clearing in the end, the still rocks facing the might of raging waters and turning them around, the dead leaves with the last gasp of colors laying on the black surface - lots of interesting elements that add up. I wish the flowing water was exposed for either a longer or a shorter duration. Right now, I believe it's in between, neither smooth enough nor raging enough. |

Water Dancesby NeilComment by claylikethemud: Perfectly chosen shutter speed for the nice effect in the water. Love the warm tones in upper left. Nicely captured. |

Water Dancesby NeilComment by Abra: The colours are great but it̢۪s the blurred motion of the flowing water that really makes this great shot! |

Water Dancesby NeilComment by Jutilda: Oh I could just get lost in this. Beautiful how my eye just follows the water backwards to the beginning in the upper left. Stunning colors. Fall is so beautiful. |

Fishing Goldby NeilComment by sfalice: Well, Neil, I'm gonna stick my neck out here.
It is technically excellent (of course!) and there is lots to look at. Especially the way the swirl curls around to the feet of the fisher folk.
Still, after appreciating all that, I think the other images you have shown are a lot stronger. |

Buttermiilk Swirlby NeilComment by sfalice: Yes. Now a viewer can move freely around the image appreciating all the textures and movement without 'thudding' up against the dark trees on the right. IMO they are just enough brighter and defined to keep a viewer in the picture. this also shows off the very nice rocky ledge below them, which defines the stream. |

Autumn Riches by NeilComment by smichener: This is beautiful, and a great water flow. Whenever I've been there it's usually a thin stream. I like where you took this from also, and your lens choice. Your signature water motion blur is also present. Unfortunately, for me going to this place brings bad memories as the last time I was there a man committed suicide right after I packed up my tripod and headed back towards the parking lot. What a bummer. |
