It was my highest vote and I absolutely adore how you created it. Was the clothing and the pose of your young model your idea? Together with the editing it results in a super powerful image. I don't think of notalgia or future when looking at it, I can sense a feeling of not belonging of that young person, struggling with growing up, being different than the classmates and the neighbour kids. Reminds me somehow of the book "wonder" by Raquel J. Palacio

Pretty. Cardinals visit our backyard often but soooo briefly! They grab a seed or two from the feeder and are off. Love the way this one posed on a branch for you.
