Too cute!! The nature of the beast so to speak. I never tire of watching my snakes "hunt" their prey and eat. Kind of morbid but fascinating at the same time.

Very nice!! Love snakes! You kept good detail in the scales with this shot which is not always easy to do!

Nicely composed, simple and peaceful. Might bump up the saturation a tad to really make the boat stand out.

Comment by ArpeggioAngel:
I think the use of the sepia tone really adds to the overwhelming feeling of destruction portrayed in this photo.

I really like the "crooked" angle you took this shot from. Really adds a unique dimension to what may have been an otherwise boring photo. The half open door leaves me wondering what is on the other side.

Very beautiful. I like the light/shadow from one side of the water to the other. Would love to see what this would look like in black and white or a sepia tone as well.

As you alluded to in your comments, the lighting is very impressive here. It gives what would be a decent shot a real punch. The tones are nice and I like your choice of black and white - makes this seem like a very serene and solemn image.

I think what throws me is there is such a beautiful curve to the building... almost like a women's torso, and then looking at the bottom is sort of jarring, in comparison. Maybe it would be better, for me, if you had cropped to the point where the diagonal line of the bottom building *just* stops at the edge of the curve. That way you would eliminate both the building in the background as well as the diagonal line that contrasts so much with the curved main subject.

However, even as it is, I think this is a great shot! I wish I could see all of it on my monitor at once - I have a feeling I would like it even more. And really, the stuff about the bottom being in contrast.. it really does not take too much away from this image.

Interesting use of lighting here. It would be nice if there was just a touch of fill flash to light up the label on the front of the bottle. Still very effective.
