Great b&w. Love the processing. I think the vignette adds a lot to it. Kind of makes me think of the "Birds"- Hitchcock, even though I saw it probably 20 years ago? :) Definitely good job!

Prompted by curiosity, I looked it up. Knotted butterfly (wow!). It's a name for a shop in Sydney that specializes in bow ties. That was fun. Thanks!

I don't know how to describe the moment when a photographer's mind takes an interest in expressing an inner vision, rather than documenting what is seen with the eyes. I think I see that happening with your work. It happened to me, which is how I think I recognize it. Putting a good title on the finished work is an important part of the process, both for the artist/photog & for the audience. I enjoy the time I spend finding the relationship between the title & the graphic, it helps me look more effectively, sometimes for longer.

This work was unaccessable to me until I looked up the title. Now, the bows are no longer arbitrary. They have a relationship with the shadows that I can't explain but has meaning. I can't explain butterflies, either, or bow ties. Some things just are. Like dreams.

So...good work! Well done! Huzzah!
