pennilessby peeceeComment by jodiecoston: It's a good concept for the challenge - great idea. I think it could be improved if you had the model standing in front of a blank white or black background or something similar - the few elements on the right side of the frame are a little distracting. |

pennilessby peeceeComment by heida: This could be a good idea, but you have to think about the background when you take a picture and the flash is giving some ugly shadows, anyway good idea ;) |

Still Usableby peeceeComment by darcy: as far as a still life goes, this doesn't get any kind of a reaction out of me, its more like a photo of something inanimate. the colors are all fairly dull, which could have something to do with it. maybe black and white owuld have helped this out a little? i think i owuld have prefered a higher angle as well. |

Long Lostby peeceeComment by Quadrajet: I'm not precisely sure how this image ties in with Grace, but I'll assume you have a reason and not let it affect my voting. The background is really pulling my focus away from the statues. If possible, try to get rid of anything that could possibly clutter the background with high contrast objects. This not only detracts from the subject but brings the background into play when looking at an image. If it is impossible to get rid of the background clutter, creating a shallow depth of field (via larger aperture) can blur the background a bit, minimizing the backgrounds impact.
I hope this helps,
Quadrajet |

Close of Dayby peeceeComment by Simplicity: Nice silhouette. This photo has a very smooth, crisp feel to it. Very clear, and wonderful capture of the lighting. Very serene. |
