This is a lovely close up. I like that I can see the little hairs at the base of his beak.
They are difficult to photograph in the wild because birds of prey are always so alert to their surroundings, and anything moving will have their attention quickly. You must have been close, as I see your reflection in his eye.

My husband's aunt gave a framed and illustrated print of this unattributed rhyme to our youngest son when he was little, and it hung on his wall until car posters replaced it.
