 Isn't he so adorable. He was being held by a handler but she was mobbed by people so I was kind of back and zoomed in.

Ooooooh! NIIIICE JOB! That look is so intense. I have never seen a handler handle owls. I would love to. There is something so majestic about owls, and to me they seem so much more "wild" than some other birds -- to be trained and handled would be so interesting to me to see.

Great photo Kelli. His wise (and stern) expression brings this to mind (even tho I can't see any oak)

A wise old owl
Sat in an oak
The more he heard
The less he spoke
The less he spoke
The more he heard
Why can't we be
Like that wise old bird.

My husband's aunt gave a framed and illustrated print of this unattributed rhyme to our youngest son when he was little, and it hung on his wall until car posters replaced it.
