I think I see what you were trying to do here, but the yellows just didn't do a good job of complimenting your purples. Stupid yellow :) It seems that in a photo where the shape and details of an object are intentionally hidden, the colors have to be really perfect to make up for it. The purple is rather dominant here, almost a color cast, and the yellows just aren't working. Composition is tough to judge, because it looks a little bit "random", but the stems cause me a little confusion. I wish I could offer better advice on how to make this kind of thing really kick, but that's about the best I can do :)

Wow, good capture! The green bar across the bear's back back is a little distracting for me, but I dont see how you couldve prevented that from this angle. Nice shot.

Great concept, but I think that it needed a bit stronger yellow background to really stand out in the challenge. With the lighting, it is also hard to pick out one area of crisp focus. I think that is was underexposed from the start, and curves could only amp it up so much. I do like the flowing composition that you created. It definitely serves to lead my eyes around and through the frame.

I like the camel--the low angle captures an important aspect of these beasts. I find the trees in the background distracting. A lower camera angle might have made it possible to eliminate the trees and have the camel appear against the sky. Even this image would be improved by a vertical crop that would get rid of some of the trees, especially those on the left side.

Right off the bat I am thinking "Too much saturation". Knock down the saturation as a whole and then maybe knock down the saturation again in the background to allow the bud to stand out on its own rather than be flooded by the intense colors in the background. Rotate the pic so the bud is coming more from a corner into thepic instead of standing right there would be nice too. But stillwhen I go back and look at it again the saturation is just overwhelming.

Love the colors and composition. The face is overexposed.

Yes, this works. I just realized something. At around $3 a gallon gasoline cost almost the same as milk. Didn't occur to me til I saw him drinking gas ... LOL Nice capture.
