If the lighting was better this could have been a great image, but that blowout in his face really makes this image look like a snapshot.

apart from that I think composition and framing is very good, and it's a fun subject to look at, and I like how you captured the flames.

hello again,

i liked this image. thought it was cute.

what i didnt like was the blown highlights on the guys face. i think had you dropped the exposure a bit... the whole thing would have grown well. the suit could be darker and the fire could be darker. i think that would have got you gallons closer to the ribbon.

Nice and quirky, definitely meets challenge fine, but I'd prefer to see him actually breathing fire, rather than just 'drinking' petrol.

Composition seems a little stifled. Exposure seems good overall but his face seems pretty blown-out. Colours are good.

Sorry, its hard to comment on this challenge. All I'd suggest to improve would be a less-centred composition, and a capture of some action.

Cute and engaging, with beautiful vibrant colour, and interesting elements such as the flame, and the matte behind him. Cropping or composition might be a bit tight to the top, and there are some blown highlights. Cute risk you took with the title, but not sure it's too photojournalismy. (Sorry about that word.) Otherwise a great photo that is very engaging.

This I liked. Colors are vibrant, picture tells a story. About the only nit (and I have to say that I didn't even notice it while voting) is that his face is a bit overexposed. Loved where you caught him with respect to the canvas behind him. Quite a fun picture!

As a performer who plays with fire as well, I enjoyed this shot. Good colors (maybe saturated just a tad bit more) and the flame looks great. You caught a moment in a performance that is alot of fun. His face seems a bit washed out. And the background image on the canvas is a bit of a distraction. At first I thought hew was wearing a hat or had weird hairdo. A vertical shot may have been nice as his outfit probably looked pretty cool. That would have garnered the pic more interest I think. Overall a fun shot. I gave this a 6.

Nice placement of the central figure. The colors seem a bit faded to me (chiefly because gas containers are usually a vivid red and this one seems a bit washed out - of course it could be the sunlight, too). Good sense of humour in this one.

Very interesting. You have several elements working together in this shot to keep the eye moving all around the frame. You've captured a very interesting scene, and your placement of the actor is priceless. Nice background hair. The shot immediately gave me a smile. I think it could have been better without the harsh lighting on his face, but we can't control everything. Nice score.

interesting photo, but shouldn't it show him setting something on fire?

A unique shot that gets your attention. Tells the story on it's own, but pulls you in and makes you want to read more about it. Well done!

Yes, this works. I just realized something. At around $3 a gallon gasoline cost almost the same as milk. Didn't occur to me til I saw him drinking gas ... LOL Nice capture.
