nice shot, but when I see a picture of a Camel, Llama or any animal of that kind I get that hidiously annoying song in my head.. llama llama.....many links to that song on DPC forum, didn't want to find one so I don't have to listen to that song again ;)

composition and lighting is very good, whitebalance is a bit off I think, and it could do with some saturation and sharpening with curves.

I gave this a 5. It's hard to get worked up over dirty water (photographically, that is) even though the photo and title make a strong statement. I thought it would have scored higher if the fish filled the frame more. (You are right, though. This water looks putrid.)

Actually, this is kinda cool. Doesn't even look like water - looks more like plastic film and the catfish looks like some sort of evil alien creature. I'm betting it would have done quite a bit better in the challenge, too.

the comment i already left is really the only thing i can think of to change. the problem is you got fish in dirty water which doesnt make people wanna look at it. and this is the point of the shot. lol.

sorry bout your luck didnt think this should have been anywhere near last. but then i never get it right.
