I gav ethis a 5. Fooey on the "it's pink not purple" people - if they read te title they would have seen that your focus was the berry. And even if it wasnt, I would consider the restof the plant to be a shade of purple - definitley not worthy of a DNMC vote. The layout seems a bit busy and cluttered. A differetn angle may have freed up some negative space between the stems. The sharpness seems a bit off as well. And to gaurantee a black background whenever you shoot just carry around a $30 piece of black velvet - works every time.

Wow! What an awesome capture, Kelli! Their looks are so intense. The bit of grass in the foreground and the fence behind add texture to offset their spots. Really nice shot!!

Nice lightplay and I like the way there's a hint of color despite it being a spiderweb at night. I haven't read comments but I suspect you got dinged for oversharpening (?) to where the light looks like "bits" - literally little squares and jags. Or it could be that it wasn't "abstract" enough - I can never tell what does and doesn't count as "abstract", though.
