Many titles in this challenge convey sadness; coupled with the neglect and decay in this image, I think it is the saddest.

Personally, I would have cloned out those distracting pieces of white trash on the ground. It is, nonetheless, an effective image with the chosen angle of the structure, the slightly elevated PoV, and the boarded windows - even the one that has fallen away.

Very appropriate submission for this challenge.

Mariuca's problem is true in a sense. Each mage is so strong, it wants to take over the whole story. That is probably why Paul could easily assign his insightful interpretations to each one individually.

This serie does not work for me as wonderfully as each individual image does individually. I have my favorites where I stopped to catch my breath (empty year, if I could tell youâ€Â¦, the passion, I am brush strokesâ€Â¦) but the whole does not lead me anywhere. Must be the processing or my lack oÆ’ ignoring it. Take "the ache inside" for instance - it makes one shudder and it's not only from the knee pain! But in context, the noise does not belong to the collection.
Sometimes I think that you have an idea and a title prior to taking a photograph and it's only because you have all deeply ingrained in your mind.
