This looks kind of unpleasant and gory to me for some reason. It is definitely difficult to tell that it is an apple. I'm not drawn to the asthetic at all. I'm not seeing anything pleasing or interesting in the way of color harmony or pattern. I doesn't appear to show much consideration for design, rather, it is merely a close-up of an apple stem.

This is another one of my top picks for the front page. Great lighting and composition. I wonder if people are saying anything about the blade of grass behind our main subject? Not to worry, this viewer doesn't mind it at all. Well done.
