I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: An interesting mix of textures - the oil(?), the surface and the flowers. I'm particularly fond of the colour of the flowers and how they serve to lift the image. I like how it feels 'square-on' too.

Critical stuff: Not much - difficult to fault something as honest as this.

Overall: A nice textual piece.

I so want to give this a better score, but what is it? The title doesn't help me, Almost looks like its shot through a window with a reflection of the curtain at night with a crazy high ISO. The possible sensor blobs hurt too. Sorry.

I see the face, but the lighting looks to have been pretty bad when you took the shot. There's a lot of blown highlights, so I'm assuming you were trying to get it bright enough to see the lower half of the shot. You can't really fix that in basic, so you should have just done a reshoot. It would have taken no time to reshoot this with added light from the ground.

I had to move back a little to take it in properly, but I can see the pachyderm. Well seen. I'm curious how this will do on the heels of the Posthumous challenge. This being DPC, I'm afraid things will be back to normal and this will get creamed.
