An eight from me.

Reading through your comments, I almost commented myself how nicely the top left and lower right "blemishes" balanced the composition. But what do I know?

I found it crammed into one of the slots of the toaster oven, a page from my Shadow comic from 1944, back when something seriously dangerous was going on and we needed a hero no matter how dark. And here I was thinking I didn't need toaster ovens any more, or comics, or heros. But when you see a hero like this, materializing from the shades, composed of the very forms you fear most, then you realize how important he's always been... ready or not.

Dark and moody and undecipherable.

the top left highlight creates an unnecessary imbalance, and the bottom right is another distraction. interesting idea, though.
