Ain\'t it a Daisy desktopby littlemavComment by michaelmonn: great summery shot IMO. i like the background alot because its both simple and brings that summer context to the shot. although its OOF my brain still recognizes it as a sky due to the color and texture. very suitable for a preloaded windows desktop option i will agree :) |

The Last Unicornby littlemavComment by Lydia: I think a bit more exciting background would have raised your score a bit. Nice job on the edit! (not voting) |

The Last Unicornby littlemavComment by CNovack: Nice blending of the horn to the horse to create this unicorn. Composition is good. Good attention to the feel or mood you want to project with the desert-like backdrop to tie into the idea of this being the 'last' of it's kind because of the barren landscape. While above average it still has some areas that call for improvement to make it even better. The contrasts between light and shadow are a little washed out (at least on my monitor - not all monitors are created equal) A bump in the levels in Shadow/Highlight/Midtones would easily help balance that out. The other suggestion that I think would make the image even better is some more contrast in the backdrop. Light shades/tone on the unicorn and then light shades for the backdrop doesn't really allow for your main subject to 'visually pop' off the page. A bit of darkening the hues (brightness/contrast levels) or lowering the gamma on the backdrop would allow the lighter tones of the unicorn to visually pop off of a shade or two darker backdrop. |

The Last Unicornby littlemavComment by MacDonald: I love horse and I am a Capricorn .. when I was young I thought a Capricorn was a Unicorn (grin) and found out when I was older I had the sign of a goat:( A very well done photo and the horse is beautiful. I miss riding. I gave this an 8 when I voted earlier for bring up memories tucked away in my mind. |
