Very eery coloring in the sky. Gives a real sense of wonder and anxiousness.

Obvious tripod use: High. I was about to put medium high, but then I was thinking back to some recent photos I attempted similar to this, and I know that to get this much silhouette you need a pretty long shutter.

Dark silhouette of the trees with exposure set for the moon means it could have been hand-held. A longer exposure could have given the clouds a blurred softness.

Hard to convey thunder in a photo as you can only hear it. I love the lighting on the horses but the clouds and lighting seem out of place. Maybe it's just me. Good luck.
