Had a comment about could be hand held, Guess I should've put 1sec exp.. I will aggree normaly the moon is bright enough to shoot it @ 125 but this was a dark stormy night I was Amazed how still the clouds were when I watched and thought humm might work.. So non blurry clouds and 1 sec.
Barely hanging on to a 5, I knew Moon shots would probaly score low, But I really liked this! So I'll take my lower score and be happy with myself.

Fantastic lighting; its subtle at first, and then too bright to look at- I also love the placement of the dramatic branch. well done.

Very eery coloring in the sky. Gives a real sense of wonder and anxiousness.

Obvious tripod use: High. I was about to put medium high, but then I was thinking back to some recent photos I attempted similar to this, and I know that to get this much silhouette you need a pretty long shutter.

Obvious use of a tripod, or any other long-term stabilization tool (1-10 *is not the score of the shot though*): 3
Dark silhouette of the trees with exposure set for the moon means it could have been hand-held. A longer exposure could have given the clouds a blurred softness.

Love your title. So eery and spooky. If people do not have properly calibrated monitors, you might here 'too dark." Don't worry, I hear it all the time. LOL NICE!! 7

It's a decent image. Obviously not hand-held. Only thing I don't care for is the center comp. Crop the right side off a little and I would like it better. Still, good job.
