Powerful image. I like the color saturation, really eye catching, but maybe over the top. Digital editing has a price, it's almost always image quality (pixelation). Was the original photo as grainy as this? I doubt it. Look at the lamp posts, in places they disappear, not good.

Thank you all for your comments. I knew there would be people that would say they wanted to see the snail more and I do have pictures with more light on the snail, but I enjoyed this picture the most. It has a sort of mystery as to the appearance of the slug. I also did not crop it in so tight cause I wanted you to see the bright light on the left an the shadow on the right. I think it all adds to the picture.

lighting needs some work to bring out the snail shell. Maybe a different orientation would have allowed you to fill the frame too ? Has the elements of a effective shot.

I find myself wishing the light was coming from the other direction. Also, nature photos should be cropped in tight around the subject. Curious: Did you take any macro shot of just the shell?
