ceolby NiallOTuamaComment by Bear_Music: You figured out there's some Irish in the Bear, eh? And, as an aside, like 75% of my nursing staff for the 12 days of purgatory were Irish. SO much fun, we had :-) I live the mood of this, my kind of slow, sad dirge... |

musingsby NiallOTuamaComment by NikonJeb: It's because of working within this community for a decade and a half that I'm able to appreciate the subtle, ethereal quality of this image.
I've been in that laundromat, that office, that room where I will sit, with nothing else other than the air in the room 'til the moment ends and I join life as it continues down its path.
This scored better than I expected which says something about how even the community has evolved with time and experience.
Congrats on a fine finish and again, lovely image. Thank you. |

Thanks :-) I went through a journey that led me to appreciate this style that started by asking "what was the photographer trying to evoke with the editing choices?", and eventually I asked this question so much that it became a core element of my style. This isn't to say there's any great depth in my images by any means, but usually I have something that I want to communicate indirectly. Here, for example, the subject is reading a book and the focus and texture is meant to contrast the background noise to his complete focus on the novel. Usually, lighting, focus and textures are used in various combinations for some kind of purpose.
Anyway, I have a special appreciation of voters' evolving perception of style, and encourage you down the route whatever the outcome may be! Message edited by author 2022-12-26 08:14:59. |
