Simply put, for this shot... yes. Why would I have desaturated the rest of the flower and surroundings if that wasn't my goal? |

That's what I was going for. I wanted to put special emphasis on the stamens, which this crop achieves, IMHO. Why shoot a flower with an everyday plain centered or rule of thirds type of shot? Message edited by author 2004-06-29 06:19:13. |

So for a portrait i don't really like it. As a picture it is very powerfull, but scary. |
