A great moody shot, love the cloudy sky and splashing water on the boat, very atmospheric. I like the title but really wish that fellow in the background wasn't there, he doesn't particularly distract in the shot but his presence makes the title feel moot for me, if that makes sense. Still, love the image, gave you an 8 and hope it does well.

For me, this picture is too plain; there's too much "empty space" consumed by the lawn, and the house itself is in strong shadow and very contrasty. This would have been a good subject for an HDR exposure (take multiple photos a few EV stops apart in exposure, then combine via HDR tone mapping). You can download a trial of Photomatix Pro from their website if you'd like to try your hand at HDR.

I like the structure very much in itself. However the lighting is very cheerful, not necessarily emotive. I wonder if photographing at a different time of the day would have made for a more moody, drammatic image.
