is this under a strong colored light? Something disquieting about the colors.

Lacks detail, color is garish. Interesting composition though.

Indeed, so many of them are.... :)

Seriously, I must have checked out 20 different payphones for this challenge, and I think two might have been in working order...

Some perspective correction would have helped this image quite a bit.

At first I wasn̢۪t sure that I liked your post processing of this. But the more I look and study it the more it becomes an interesting photo. Yes, I don̢۪t mind this at all.

There doesn't seem to be a clear subject to this image... the leaf the stick and the mushroom cap all compete with each other. I'd have moved the stick and leaf before shooting... and tried to get the bottom of the 'shroom in the shot. (not voting)

You wouldn't believe how many man-made objects were surrounding that wheel! One more day extension, and I would have had the below snow-dusted photo that hid the grate, but you can see the boat dock, and the electrical pole. If I adjusted the composition to block one thing, something else would show up, or the river wouldn't be viewable at all! Is I hal'f pressed my shutter so the light exposure would be correct at the river, I lost focus on the wheel!

Live and learn. Things to bring next time... tripod instead of monopod, camouflage netting, manual focus, and a dusting of snow! ;)

Yes, a little cheesy, but that doesn't bother me. I like the full frame orange color effect. However, in my opinion, this seems a little out of focus and maybe even a little underexposed. I don't know exactly what it is (I am still learning all of this), but if it were a little clearer and exposed a little differently I would have scored it a bit higher, but you definitely met the challenge!

Cute idea of using the old wheel as a frame. It's really quite unfortunate that the metal grate is so visible, that's taking away from the vintage feel.
