I like this shot. Unlike many cliche photos, it captures a peak into the real lives if people.

Well, I maintain that art evokes emotion, and this image seemed to generate two flavors, humor and angst. Well, I continue to learn about the voting crowd here, so I guess political commentary is another thing to put on the list of things to avoid if you want high scores.

The issue of whether George W. or or his appointees who created economic policy caused the worst recession in history is as irrelevant as the photos depicting Santa Clause and his elves being responsible for the presents found under the tree Christmas morn, the image and title were meant as a representation of the economic woes we currently face just as the photos of the others are symbolistic of the christmas spirit. I think I was successful in communicating my message clearly, I will let Google, Wikopedia, and the CIA Factbook decide if my message was indeed correct. Then we can discuss if Santa really can really break all the laws of physics that he seems to every year.

Happy holidays. Live and learn. Thats what this site is all about.

The title made me think more than the picture did, trying to figure out the connection between it and the photo.
You certainly captured the sheer overwhelming-ness of all of the signs both in the store and on the window. Everywhere I look, signs signs signs. I would have loved to see a human element in this, just to connect further with the viewer and add some impact. A "so what?" if you will. The shopping cart tempts me in that direction, but not quite enough.
