I dunno...but, I think some people just love to find the flaws in shots rather than the good and actually go looking for them to point out LOL.

I actually think that this is a great shot, not posed for but, the kids noticed the camera, aimed at them and looked.

Beautiful shot and certainly not "over processed" in my point of view. There are PLENTY of overprocessed shots in DPC that do well so, why they may pick on this one is beyond me. I do think it should have scored way higher than it did. Perhaps, it's because voters here in DPC prefer a LOT of contrast???? Not sure why but, I think the score should have been a lot higher than it was. Still, your work is doing well for someone who has just jumped into the swamp of critical viewers LOL! ;)

Fun, but risky to your camera! Perhaps a little brighter on the subject? I suspect the camera is metering evaluatively so that bright sunshine is just killing your little girl.

Nice splash of color... Although it does look like the upper edge of the American flag is desaturated... Funny enough, I can see two Support's in the support our troops flag... How ever did that happen?? And there is a colored bar (oddd, looks like a serious editing mistake...) at the bottom.. Still, a nice image- since I'm being generous - you get a 6...

I dont mind the colour popping but I think you need to pay a little bit more attention to the edges as the don't look quite right. Did you consider shooting it with a narrow DOF?
