I like this flagpole of mystery standing proud as a turret. The marbled effect of the cloud bokeh and the entire out of focus feel works surprisingly well. The attention paid to the rope on the cleat is also quite winning.

The fine hairs off the head are neat, but otherwise I find this to have too much tone mapping or structure.

It's funny how one can take such a simple, underrated object yet create such a beautiful and magnificent image from it. The way the shadows are here really make this very special. I don't even care what it is, it's simply just beautiful.
