On Windows and Wallsby KristinaGComment by bohemka: This reminds me of that riddle of how the two thieves got 52 bicycles out of the bike shop without opening any windows or doors. I was young and impressed at the time.
I think this image has real promise. It's a very interesting scene and though while a bit cluttered, that's the entire point. If there are two things I would have done with it, however, it would be to try to get a bit more range out of it with some tone mapping and/or blend of multiple exposures. Nothing cartoonish, but there are a load of blue hues here that would make it very nice. Also, I'd run a gaussian blur or some noise reduction software, as it seems slightly noisy. Interesting scene though. |

Vertigoby KristinaGComment by MaryO: Very unusual composition; unsettling, but that appears to be the point. |

Vertigoby KristinaGComment by smardaz: i dont really understand what is meant by balance, so i have just been looking at this as a free study, that being said, i like the contrast between the sky and the building |

Vertigoby KristinaGComment by MargaretNet: DNMC - not unbalanced BUT a great photo, 7
Actually on the second pass it meets the challenge - the sky counter-balances the structure making it effective |

Sunbathing with a Friendby KristinaGComment by bob350: Very much enjoying the play of light here. The echo of orange from the beaks to the upper right corner adds a playful sense to the composition. |

The Harrietby KristinaGComment by bspurgeon: I don't mind crowding and snipping sails, etc; however, it is a rather flat composition. No real, or percieved movement. A boat sailing < stopped motion> in the same plane as the horizon with out a second or third element to create a visual tension made for a flat scene. Cheers, Ben
