Memories by gyabanComment by MargaretNet: As you can see you got 36 votes, of these one 1, one 3, one 4 and six 5s. That makes 25% of voters who thought your image was below average. I find it very demotivating and frustrating, and the others must do as well as a lot of long time members dropped off recently, or come back occasionally for one month only (see Art's comment, I think Anita did that too, Wendy has disappeared, you entered just one challenge in 10 months etc). It is a pity as Bear is working extremely hard to keep this site going with his new big title of Administrator, but without big additions of new ideas and their implementation in code (!!), it is mission impossible. Sorry, Bear, but this is the current reality. Your work is very appreciated.
A very fine image, obviously deserving a much higher score as it would have happened when we had 100+ votes in each challenge and few low votes wouldn't make much difference.
PS My membership expires in a few days, I may let it lapse and maybe come for one month when I get motivated. |

Memories by gyabanComment by streetpigeon: A fascinating tour de force that speaks for itself. I have some confusion, but perhaps that's a result of slapping rationality onto dream, myth. Is water the home state being left behind by the shattered woman? Could she be coming together? Is this a take on Orpheus and Eurydice? Maybe it's better to set thinking aside.
But this is fabulous. The disintegration, the yearning hands, the gorgeous blue and green, the textures, the mood -- all superb.
One of two personal favorites of the challenge. |

Memories by gyabanComment by tanguera: It cannot be. Do we have a Christophe appearance?? If so, you've been deeply missed.
Love this image. Great concept, and of course - gyaban-level pp'g.
The greens are divine. |

Jazz by gyabanComment by Lydia: "Moreover, while I am a musician, I can't play the saxophone."
Uhhh... I'd say the truth is more like.... "Moreover, while I am a musician, I haven't learned to play the saxophone."
You can do anything you want to do, Christophe!
This is lovely.
