Another Brick by gyabanComment by pixelpig: My mind completes the phrase 'another brick' with 'in the wall' before I can stop it. If there is a wall here it must be metaphorical. The men all have their head in a book. Or their head is a book. Books represent stored knowledge & information. The path they are on runs through what looks like a fallow field, & is muddy, tracked by the heavy wheels of farm equipment. The men seem unaware of the field and the path, seemingly intent on getting over the hill to the giant book. They are not struggling toward the Light.
There, that's the best I can do to describe what I think I see.
The story for me is the allure of the past, the information & history, the temptation to ignore the Light, the field, and the muddy path. It's impossible to have the best of both the past and the present at the same time. Maybe that's why history repeats itself.
Aside from all that, I very much enjoy looking at the dramatic & storytelling way you use light & shadow.

Yellow Submarine by gyabanComment by Dbuchta: Hi- Congrats-Loved the photo! My first thought about it is you are a snail in the underbrush of the forest. I have been a member for years and quietly check out works by others in the field. THIS ONE caught me off guard...You sure you haven't been eating the mushrooms in the photo? Hah!

Yellow Submarine by gyabanComment by Alex_Petrini: It's always amazing to see how you can get super fantasy or creepy images but there's still a part of you who can create visions for children, funny images that can make us smile. IMO it's a great feature of your work Christophe :) |
