nice, well executed shot here, really having nothing to critique, like the use of the mint leaves to bring in some contrasting color.

This is a tough challenge to vote. I'm torn between "what are you trying to do here" and "what do I expect here". Further complicating matters is the question "what would I do here".

What I would expect would be a technically strong piece of eye-candy that would present the dessert in a way that I would want to at least sample it, if not order it. Along these lines I'm looking at technicals: backgrounds, distracting elements, exposure, sharpness. I'm also looking for creativity, imagination, and originality, which can make up for less than perfect technicals.

So, where does this leave me with your image?

Nice, clean stock shot, ready for the menu at Applebee's or O'Charley's. If anything, you could have put in a few more berries.

Nice color, I like the bi-color background but not sure i like the textured paper on one but not the other color.

I love the focus on this... But, I think the red ribbon adds too much "busyness" to the scene... and detracts from that delicious subject.

Nice candid, great colors and expression on the woman, I think I would crop it a bit tighter at the top.

Beautiful portrait. I love the way the architecture works with the subject - perfect framing and great contrasting background.

Beautiful portrait. I'm glad you chose not to go the b/w route because the colours are lovely. I think my only criticism is that the blue is reflecting on the subject too much (like the face is blue tinged and so are the clothes). I think a little more work on getting that blue tone off the subject and the image would be perfect

Image seems a bit dark overall for my tastes. Bringing the lightness up some would help in my eyes. Cropping in on the circle more might also make it a little more interesting.

Good blurry background though.
