Comfort me by gpureticComment by Cuttooth: I love chocolate and strawberries. I didn't realize you had profiteroles under there, too. Definitely makes it even better.
Congrats on the top ten! |

Comfort me by gpureticComment by Kroburg: I like the chocolate on the strawbwerries. Not touched by the green background colour. |

Sunrise 2by gpureticComment by h2: Thanks for choosing one of my image, very flattering :)
You did a nice job here, however, I'd like to point out where you missed the mark (difference in flower put aside):
- light on the flower is from above front left instead of front right;
- the orange light on the backdrop is totally missing;
I guess you didn't have access to the proper lighting equipment (or did you just not read my comments under the image?)
- crop is not square
- top of image is too dark
- you could have cloned out some of the imperfections |

(It Don't Matter If You're) Black or Whiteby gpureticComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Fabulous contrasts throughout the image and this is of course reflected in your motif. It feels very frozen, like the world has stopped - you don't always get that in photos (though I know you should) - this gives it an almost statuesque feel; like we could walk amongst the static subjects. The dog is the star but I also like the prominence of the sign. It almost competes for the title of the image.
Critical stuff: I think I might have been tempting to crop right up the middle of the tree.
Overall: An effective capture of a moment shared. Message edited by author 2012-11-09 13:23:44. |
