Los Angeles At Nightby Ram21Comment by ljonetb: I really enjoy this one - showing how empty LA is at night. One suggestion - your "(cheezy) tripod" sort of made a small earthquake on the right side - what if you cropped in on both sides to make it a "portait" shot instead of "landscape"? It would also help emphasize the verticality of the open space between the builidings at the end of the road. Might also lend some of the "big city" "skyscraper" feel which, of course, LA has very little of (none, compared to NYC!).
Awsome exposure and colors! |

Dropped Sunglassesby Ram21Comment by soccerdad: Excellent composition. I generally don't like photos with cats in them, but, this is great. Excellent job all around, DOF perfect, focus good, supporting details, etc. I hope you do very well. -10 |

The Lighting Wrenchby Ram21Comment by ljonetb: Well, imagine my surprise. Just doing a search on lighting wrench and look what I found. Thought it was sort of interesting, then noticed the "Trash Day" title, and then I had to get really close to the screen! (ok, so I could have zoomed the image, but you know me . . .) Really enjoyed reading the comments - especially regarding the question of purpose for the gloves! |

The Lighting Wrenchby Ram21Comment by lindsay: I really like this picture, and I really appreicate that you showed the setup. I took a look at it and just thought, "whoah!" Like I've said many times now.. I'm not much of a photographer.. I've never thought about actually setting up a shot.. or what kind of results you could get. I just go out and see what there is to see and snap it. hehe. This photo is very cool and appealing to the eye. |
