GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB

Welcome to DPC. I see you joined just a few weeks ago and "jumped in with both feet!"

Your image is nice and clean with good definition of the flames and the papers being burned. You maintained good color. It might have fared a bit better in the voting if there had been a clear focal point in the image. (For example, a piece of the paperwork that was still bright and identifiable. Or at least a strong illusion of colorful printing)

I look forward to seeing more of your photography. With practice and lots of post-processing experience you will be up there with the best of them soon.

And thank you for what you do.

Alice

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Straight out of the camera eh? Nicely done. Very interesting combination of subjects - I like how there is a linking theme of 'lines'. I find the orange luminance highly intriguing.

Critical stuff: Not much really, hard to argue with a zero edit - suggest anything and you would lose that.

Overall: Interesting. Nicely done.

Dont know why you put (no edit) in the title.........it makes no difference to me whether you edited it or not. However, highlighting that, for whatever reason, also makes me think why you didnt bother to edit the photo, and highlights to me what I would have done in editing. let the image, edited or not, speak for itself...........
