Boat House Row on New Year's Eveby MeMex2Comment by CNovack: The houses on the row do look very beautiful at that time of the year - and the reflections just add to the beauty. This is a nice capture but there is one big thing that really mars the beauty of the scene. Heavy noise that appears in the night sky and the dark portions of the river. It is a mottled mix of red/blue blotches. Either a good noise reduction program will take care of that or lowering the ISO to 100 or even 50 to reduce the noise when taking a nighttime shot (of course then you will have to lower the shutter speed to 1/2 second or more that would call for a tripod to get a steady unblurred shot) |

Boat House Row on New Year's Eveby MeMex2Comment by bobk: Very well done, the basic simplicity and clear, sharp lines balanced by the rippled reflection should make this one a winner. Colors are vibrant with a hint of night sky over the trees in the BG. |

Boat House Row on New Year's Eveby MeMex2Comment by bpcardona: looks like it was taken with a camera phone. I like the frame of the photo, but it pretty much ends there. Seems grainy, out of focus, very dark, and lacks a focal point. best of luck |

Kiss My Noseby MeMex2Comment by MeMex2: I know, I know !!!!! Her eye is weird. I submitted the wrong version!
I did not realize it until the first person commented on the 'tiger's eye' and there was nothing I could do about it.
Someone challenged it, and I had to go through the validation process. I wish I had been able to pull it rather than
go through all these comments.
I will think long and hard before I submit again. |
