It's one of the green bees! I love those little things; they're adorable. It turns out there are lots of types of metallic green bees (who knew?) so that's as far as I can go with an ID. Haven't seen one up here in northern VA in a few weeks; I assume they're not too thrilled with autumnal weather.

You got great detail on the bee; just look at that eye! Nice macro :-)

I'm going with butterfly, and one I've seen before (some sort of Fritillary), though from this perspective it's a little hard to tell. But the perspective is really cool, so that's OK :-)

as a thumb i was thinking it was a bird but i couldnt work it out ..
imagine my pleasure and surprise when i opened it and saw a moth .. well i'm assuming its a moth .. altho it could be a butterfly .. wotever .. i'm in a hurry otherwise i'd check somehow .. :)
