congrats, Allen! the sharpness is amazing for such a wide-open aperture capture without looking - did you get lucky or you used an automatic focusing on a nearest subject or something like that?

eta: oops, I just read your comments, I see now, you just chose the one in focus from a series. That's the third possibility I did not consider :)

I like the shot but don't understand your title. DOF works fine for me even if your eyes were open.
