take rootby leonedavisComment by jeffru: to me this photo fills the brief perfectly The tree takes from the ground and grows up We are looking from the ground up. I like the shallow depth of field as it ads to the impression the we are tiny looking up |

wonderment by leonedavisComment by MelonMusketeer: The moment and the right subjects and composition are all here for this shot. A levels, contrast, and other light tinkering adjustments would make this into a very impressive image. It grabs me already. Too bad you didn't have this one for the current "Window Shopping" challenge. |

take rootby leonedavisComment by KristinaG: I keep staring at the tree, expecting it to become sharp any second now.
I appreciate what you were trying to do here, but I really think the entire tree needs to be in focus. This would have gotten top marks from me if it had. Gorgeous gorgeous lighting. 6 |

take rootby leonedavisComment by Yo_Spiff: My eye is actually led away from the subject, which is the root. Either that or the main subject of the tree is OOF. Somehow, I find that actually works well for this scene. Giving this one a high vote. |
