Congrats on the ribbon win - love all the textures you placed in this still life from the background fabric, to the cantaloupe, to the wood table it rests on. Lighting is also fabulous complementing the rich details in the composition.

I like the idea of the image. The one distractor for me is the reflection in the jar. Maybe a portrait shot and a little closer may have made this a better image. I would like to see more detail in the butterfly.

Sylvia's roman à clef, quite a beautiful scene of fragility and captivity. As an inspiration of the novel it is quite good if not literal. Technically mostly pleasing, while composition off centre is preferred the space on the left is empty and feels that way. Nicely done otherwise.5.

Interesting take on the novel. I think it follows the cover art in a way, and that's nice.

I do think it fails to really convey the darkness and despair of the novel, the butterfly is just way too pretty and nice.

Photographic merit is pretty good here though, sharpness is really nice, exposure is great, composition is at least good. (there seems to be a slight tilt)..

So... dunno? 6 I suppose
