A still life that has verve. It's also, besides being a wonderful traditional still life, amusing and has a trajectory. The yellow, blue, green and terra cotta are symphonic. The lizard on the branch is wonderful, boosting the charm factor even further. My favorite part of the image is the bottle, so delicately colored, and with a translucent solidity that's almost visceral. Transcends the genre.
