Grandmother's vaseby neenee1999Comment by Justin Evans: Composition is awful. You've cropped off the bottom of your subject! IT's not truly centered! Your use of negative space on the right is sloppy. Since your subject is based on symmetry, then you need to take the time to make it TRULY symmetrical. Be more patient with your work and demonstrate a dedication to craftsmanship. |

Grandmother's vaseby neenee1999Comment by hyphaefungi: I hope people give you the benefit of the doubt with the mirror. Some people might not see it. This makes it very effective on me. Only thing I would've done differently, is a border and more cropping. The red platform that is on the far right lower corner is distracting from the symmetry of this shot. Nice picture! |

Bromeliadby neenee1999Comment by strangeghost: I like the simplicity of this shot. It's a beautiful statement of the ability of a good subject to "do the talking" without unnecessary frills. It could be a bit sharper, but the overall impact is not lessened at all. I also like the brown background. |

Bromeliadby neenee1999Comment by sfalice: Good use of complimentary colors and lighting to bring out the beauty of this bromeliad. Nicely done. 8 |

The cool cucumberby neenee1999Comment by scalvert: Sure, it's a macro, but not a very interesting choice of subject or composition. Maybe a very thin slice with a softly colored light shining through it to show backlit detail? |
