This is a great humorous shot that I had given a good score. Independence is not being afraid to stand on your own and to be different. I think both of those wre captured in this image. DOF is perfectly centered against the green bean. Good job and I wish there were more images such as this out there. I like the fact that it is different and not what you would normally expect when you hear the word Independence.

Toooo funny... I think this is very well done. Annoyingly (because I don't want to nitpick) my eye keeps getting pulled to the dark beans at the bottom left corner and that darkness kind of weighs down in the corner of my eye even when I focus elsewhere. Still an 8 though!

Good job making these look tasty and still showing enough texture. The focus (or, perhaps the actual berries) looks a little soft, especially in the middle and right berries. But the composition is good - nice arrangement. Overall, I like it. :) Nice shot!
