One thing we know about Bald Eagles, there will be a river or lake with open water nearby so they can catch fish. On March 11, 2012, it's most likely a river. Eagles prefer to be treated to easy fishing. So, there's likely a roller dam nearby which stuns the fish. Isn't it amazing how well the Bald Eagles have recovered from the DDT disaster of 50 years ago. I think you did well to spot the raptor. Excellent environmental shot.

I think this is quite cool! Gives a feel of just how much of a tangle the branches are, and such a sense of size, considering the size of the bird. Very cool photo!
