The Rapture is stuck in my brain. I guess the time has come and gone but this image has a religious feeling, almost a holy light shining on that shore of stone. Beautiful light and color.

An incredible capture, that's for sure, really beutiful. My only concern is the sun is only to the left of the frame, versus behind you. Worth sharing and being proud of regardless of the rules though! :D

Although this is an absolutely fantastic image with wonderful light and great misty water, I feel this may not be looking far enough 'the other way' from the sun. Sorry but I took a point off for that. I apologise if I was wrong.

I feel you may get pinged by a few diehard rules police who believe that to look the other way from a sunset is to look in the opposite direction. You’re not looking at the sunset so that’s enough for me. Lovely colours and effect from the long exposure. I particularly like the colours in the sky and the drama from the falling rain. Good luck.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Fabulous POV and composition and that reflected sunlight is the icing on the cake. I really enjoy that focus on the underside of the walkway and the texture so revealed. The relatively low contrast and toning is perfectly judged.

Critical stuff: Nothing

Overall: Standout composition and well chosen POV turns what might have been just a shot of a building into something fantastic.
