Siberian Libertyby BeefnCheezComment by rennie: I like the fact, that one really has to look for your treasure :) I like the blue hue. It makes it really cold, like a Siberian things should be. Background is a bit confusing, but it adds to the theme. Good luck :) 7. |

Siberian Libertyby BeefnCheezComment by mark082: I'm not really sure exactly what I'm looking at. I like it, but I wonder if it's too tight a crop. Frankly, I'm not sure if it is or not. With the image dimension requirements, you might have completely lost the subject. I still like the photo. 7 |

Siberian Libertyby BeefnCheezComment by HarveyG: DMC. However the coin, if semi buried for so long, would be far more corroded than it is... The blue result from incandescant WB in sunny light doesn't work here. I would prefer to see more earth and soil tones than blue. 5. |

Twisted Twist Tiesby BeefnCheezComment by glad2badad: First thought on this? What's the smear/nick/mark on the front center white area? Then I see sensor spots that could have been cleaned in post-processing. So, out the gate, I'm leaning on the downside. That sets me up for seeing the downfalls rather than the positives as I continue to take in your photo. Other observations that will help for your next entry are to use a lower ISO to control the noise, and diffuse the lighting to eliminate harsh glare.
The point I'm trying to make is that first impressions are important, and attention to details will improve the viewers first look and impact opinions.
All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge! |

Asian Small-clawed Ottersby BeefnCheezComment by marco: I don't know what they're called in English, but these animals allways make me smile :) My only comment is about the composition: it's a bit messy and there is no real point of interest to draw the viewers attention to. The head of the one on the foreground left could be the point of interest, but it's a bit lost in the 'crowd'. Also there isn't any other animal whos face or other interesting characteristics are prominent. I don't know if you had the possibility on location, but sometimes it's rewarding to try lots of different point of views. and above all, with this kind of photography: patience, patience, patience..... (also not one of my best quality's ;-). 6 |
