Comment by Dave Gordon:
On the one hand, the tilt makes for a more exciting composition. But on the other - and this is the one that seems more important from my view - it makes the viewer a little dizzy, waiting for the dessert to slide off the table. The low-key treatment again makes a nice picture, but is confusing when applied to what should be a cheerful dessert rather than a sinister threat.

Nice idea, but need a little more lighting to brighten it up. Great angle and composition. Has a nice background. 5.

Yea ... that's certainly how the term came into being. I think the focus could be a little sharper. That would really help this picture to "pop".

I would have prefered this a little lighter. The tilt is interesting.

Great idea! The focus is just missing the bug though. A more colorful insect would help make this a more interesting photo as well.

A very unique way to present this. Not sure what it is but the coloring seems dark to me, the table it's on really takes away from the dessert glass and while the dessert may be tasty, overall this picture is not very appetizing. Skewing the shot to give it a different prespective is original but the fact that the contents of the glass are not leaning with the shot doesn't work very well for me. I'm giving this one a 5 for the unique approach, meeting the challenge without a doubt and the anticipation for the recipe. :)

Image seems too dark and I'm not liking the angle of the shot. Nevertheless, recipy looks delicious.

Oh, poor moth!!!! I love this concept, I hope you didn't kill that poor moth just for this shot! :) If the entire shot was in focus I would score much higher to start on this shot, the fuzzy needlenose pliers is a bit too distracting for me. Starting with a 6, I'll be back.

What is this? It looks desserty but.. are those olives? I like the off-kilter perspective, but I think more lighting on the subject, as well as a different background might have helped. It looks too dark to me - I have difficulties enjoying the layered look of the concoction because the lighting doesn't highlight that detail. 6

An original bug in the machine and an original "take" on the challenge!

The very tight DOF does not do the composition justice. If the moths wings were in sharper focus you could ahve probably dispensed with the tweezers.
