When I first saw this, I thought they were statues, but I guess not. Interesting concept, but the mood of the syringes doesn't match that of the rest of the picture in my mind. They seem too clean, fresh, new.

That is a very cool piece of artwork, well photographed. I love your strong colours, which seem to have been turned up in post processing. Good decision :) The elements in the background also establish exactly the right context.
