That looks as if trees in the Background have simply been cut off, i.e. painted over

from my experience with this sort of affect you can take a heap of photos and be lucky to get one keeper .. to get the middle in focus i mean .. altho when i've tried i didnt use a tripod .. might have a heap more keepers if i had .
anyway .. enough about me . !! ..
