St David's Dayby daevansComment by tate: A nice composition and lighting The subject is intriguing as well. Selective desat is a little too mainstream for me to think of modern art though. |

St David's Dayby daevansComment by Pug-H: Not sure what the objects are - some kind of brand, perhaps. Or maybe Welsh domestic doonackies. |

St David's Dayby daevansComment by Sirashley: The strong points to this shot are a very clever desat and a very sharp contrast... The shot definitely works well in this challenge... |

St David's Dayby daevansComment by macrothing: 6 - A little more clarity on the flower, don't know, as is on the 'thing' at the fore.. I don't know what to focus on. The composition is nice... |

St David's Dayby daevansComment by Jutilda: Not always a fan of selective saturation, but this is nicely done. The light and shadow play is good too. I can see this as a mass produced poster (hope that doesn't come across as a bad thing) :) |

St David's Dayby daevansComment by PenelopeK: Being of Welsh heritage I appreciate the daffodil and love spoon (not sure what the second object behind that is). No red dragons available?! Nice light, but the selective desaturation doesn't work for me here. I think that is because the area of color is relatively isolated from the rest of the image. |

St David's Dayby daevansComment by citymars: My canned response: whatever one's definition is of fine/contemporary/modern art, I think this entry is too much like business as usual at DPC. In this case: a flower photo, desat background. Nothing new enough, despite addition of some interesting props.
I like however the floor surface. It almost looks like an overlay. |
