She Leaves Before Dawnby PenelopeKComment by nam: Great mood - she leaves in the mist, too.
I have several favorite color combinations and one of them is selective color sepia with red. I also only really like selective color when it appears to be (or as if it could be) natural. So this one fills the bill in spades. Natural tones that give me the very best of a subtle selective color palette.
Great use of the edge of the wharf, of course.
And you are not going to believe it, but I've said before that it's my habit when commenting to comment first, read comments second. So I JUST read Don's, after I'd explained my pleasure in the tones. |

Dinghy Dreamingby PenelopeKComment by jomari: 'I don't want to leave this beautiful place', said the boat.
'Then we shall take it with us', said the captain. |

She Leaves Before Dawnby PenelopeKComment by posthumous: I like how this is almost sepia without being monochrome. the foreshortened angle blends the ship into its environment. It doesn't seem at all an autonomous being, just an extension of the pier. |

She Leaves Before Dawnby PenelopeKComment by insteps: I always enjoy sculptural collections of ladders, wires, poles, masts, anything really.... You filled the square frame nicely with subdued early morning tones. |

She Leaves Before Dawnby PenelopeKComment by Ecce_Signum: Trawling isn't an easy job :(
OK, prepare to have your mind blown!
I once went to a medieval banquet at Warwick Castle, I lived in Taunton for a year in my youth, my Father was born in Plymouth. I have no history with the town of Sandwich (but have eaten many). I holidayed in Wareham once, Falmouth a few times and my Paternal Grandparents moved to Barnstable just after the second world war.
I worked in Norwich for 12 years before moving to my current home and my mother was brought up in Enfield. I could go on but don't want to bore you too much.
All of the above of course was done in the UK!
To finish, Taunton Massachusetts to Barnstable Massachusetts is 51.5 miles, Taunton UK to Barnstable UK is 49.6 miles.
Some coincidence(s)

Dinghy Dreamingby PenelopeKComment by Ecce_Signum: I don't think water should be on the inside? however, this might be a little boring if it was outside the boat and we'd have missed this lovely reflection. |
