Did you try a horizontal layout and cropping it just above the trees across the river so that the girl and swans were more of the picture, and not the sky? I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the picture is very grainy. Normally, that is not real appealing to me, but in this picture, it makes it feel like we are back in teh 70's, and for some reason, that is effective. Also, for some reason, I like that you got the back of her head, and not her face.

Good contrast, focus, a little grainy (low-pixel camera?). Would like the girl and swan to be closer and bigger in the scheme of things, but that's my personal opinion . . .

Looks a bit low-res. IME, with cameras ~2 megapixels it's best to frame a close as possible to get plenty of pixels on your subject. You could do without the overcast sky and dark grass, and that would free up more range of exposure for the girl (wouldn't she at least give you a profile?), swan, water and rocks.

This is a nice setting, and the black swan is great (I'm sure the girl is too), but I think that they are too disconnected both spatially and interpersonally. My preference would be the swan or the girl with this lovely backdrop, or the girl leaning forward talking to the swan, making a connection.
